Officer Retreat 2012

We had another successful new officer retreat in Pacific City.  The new officers from Omega, Iota Epsilon and Iota Nu chapters all made the long trek to the beach.

A big thank you to the older Brothers who joined us to advise the officers…  Tim Jakubowski, Bryan Rott, James Connolly, Dennis Blew and Ian Itschner.

During the retreat we went over officer duties, financial processes, team building, risk management, running meetings, etc.  There was also time spent watching football and getting to know each other.

Iota Nu Pledges 28!

Iota Nu Chapter at Washington State University has capped off a very successful Fall recruitment by pledging 28 men!  This brings the total total number of men in the Chapter to almost 70.

Recruitment Chairman Kyle Belga indicated that the success was truly a team effort.  Interest didn’t come from massive parties or a big Summer push…  The Chapter held open house and dinners for a week and really spent the time to meet prospects coming by.  All members pitched in and made recruitment a success.

Brother Belga has a goal to continue recruiting and retain a solid 25+ man initiate class, setting the stage for a 100 man Chapter at WSU!  Brother Belga can be contacted at hkbelga@gmail.com (hkbelga null@null gmail NULL.com).

Alumni Networking/Social in Portland – Sept

The Cascade Alumni Club is hosting an Alumni networking/social event at the Kingston Bar & Grill on Friday, Sept 23 from 6 to 8.  Grab a beer, catch up with old friends and meet new Brothers.  There will be a special happy hour menu just for Sigma Pi.  This event is open to all Sigma Pi Brothers, but especially those in the Portland/Vancouver area.

For more information contact Bryan Rott at brott@ymail.com (brott null@null ymail NULL.com)

The Kingston is located at 2021 SW Morrison St in Portland.

Alpha Gamma colony starting in October!

Sigma Pi is back on the University of Washington campus starting Fall Term ’11!  Throughout October, Expansion Consultant Erik Brody (IE ’11) will be leading recruitment activities and will be training our new brothers.

Please “like” the Facebook page that Erik has set up at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sigma-Pi-Fraternity-at-The-University-of-Washington/123854117701774 (http://www NULL.facebook NULL.com/pages/Sigma-Pi-Fraternity-at-The-University-of-Washington/123854117701774)

Can you help volunteer to help out with the new colony?  We are looking for a wide range of alumni brothers from a variety of Chapters.  Volunteering ranges from actively working with officers to run the organization, to simply discussing the value of the Fraternity in a social setting.  You can even help if you are not in the Seattle area (phone and email is all you need).

Please contact Ian Itschner (PNWPA@SigmaPi.org (PNWPA null@null SigmaPi NULL.org)) or Erik Brody (ebrody@SigmaPi.org (ebrody null@null SigmaPi NULL.org))

Seattle Area Alumni – Let’s get together!

There are hundreds of Brothers in the greater Seattle area – we are missing a great opportunity for networking and general brotherhood.  Let’s get together!

Are you interested in meeting up with your brothers?  Do you have a suggestion for a meeting location?  Are you willing to be a “host” for a get together?  (Just need someone to hold a place at the bar)

Contact Ian at PNWPA@SigmaPi.org (PNWPA null@null SigmaPi NULL.org) and we will get some events started!
